Members of the press were recently invited to attend a News Conference in Denver on the 30th May 2008. The event was organized by Jeff Peckman in order to provide journalists with an exclusive viewing of a video tape which apparently depicts a "living breathing ET". ¹

Denver resident, Jeff Peckman, had organized the news conference in an attempt to raise the profile of his "Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission" initiative.

The video tape was captured by UFO experiencer Stan Romanek in Nebraska 2003. Stan recently described the events leading up to his capturing of this footage in an interview with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM:

"I thought we had a peeping tom [....] Late at night I'd walked into the kitchen... and our curtains were open, and I'd see this head pop up and it's like... What in the world! And every time I would run out side there would be nothing there... Ummm, well, my experiences had been going on for quite a while... and I called one of the researchers and I said; "You know, I think I've got a damn peeping tom".... and um, he said; "You know, this is what you do... Next time you see it, don't run outside, turn off all the lights, loudly say I'm going to bed or something, and set up your video Camera and put it on night shot" .... So, I did exactly that... and... Ha! There were two flashes.. I actually went and sat in the bathroom and read a magazine because I wanted to see if I could catch this thing... and I saw two flashes and, after the second flash I thought what in the world is going on.... and I saw this thing kinda’ drop down... and I ran to look out the window.. I saw this little.... there was a full moon.... and I saw this little thing running through the back yard... and I was really… really, super surprised to see what I caught on video.." ²

In an interesting development, which caused confusion among the online UFO research community, members of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society launched a parallel campaign. In an apparent attempt to discredit Stan Romanek by replicating his evidence.

They also released a fake version of the alleged ET video, see below:

Bryan Bonner, a member of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society explained his motivation in an interview with Bill Scanlon of the Rocky Mountain News:

"It's so amazing that anyone would believe that video is a real space alien. And it's so frustrating to see that they want to use city time and tax dollars on this." ³
